Caprolactam is an important cyclic amide organic chemical raw material with the chemical formula C₆H₁₁NO. It appears as a white to pale yellow flaky, granular, or powdery solid. This product exhibits good chemical stability and reactivity, readily undergoing polymerization under certain conditions, and is a core monomer in the synthesis of Nylon-6 (PA6).

Caprolactam is widely used in the fields of synthetic fibers, engineering plastics, films, and industrial textiles, and is one of the most critical basic chemical raw materials in the polyamide industry chain.
