Dichloromethane (DCM) is a colorless, transparent, and highly volatile organic solvent with a slightly sweet odor. It is non-flammable, evaporates rapidly, and has strong dissolving power. It can dissolve a variety of resins, oils, rubbers, and organic compounds, and is an important chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, coating, and cleaning industries. Dichloromethane has low evaporation residue, high purity, and good stability, making it a common basic raw material for the production of pharmaceutical intermediates, foamed plastics, metal cleaning agents, and coating removers.
